The UK forms the back-bone of the group’s heritage where it continues to operate a robust commercial real estate portfolio in the West Midlands.
Folkes operates a predominantly industrial investment portfolio in the UK, comprising in excess of 1.4m square feet and more than 90 tenants. The UK division also operates office, residential and agricultural land.
The Channel Islands portfolio is predominantly held through joint venture structures and real estate funds.
Our strategy takes a dual approach, balancing secure income with speculative growth by pairing Grade A office space and top covenant strength with opportunistic land acquisitions to unlock repurposing planning value and development opportunities.
South Africa is the group’s growth focus, where it has been building its interests since the year 2000.
In South Africa, Folkes is an active developer and investor in the retail mall, industrial warehouse and mixed use sector, with assets in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban which extend to a total of 1,650,000 SQ FT.
Folkes also holds 25,000 acre agricultural plot in the Eastern Cape.
